Description
No 69 is a house that has been converted into a shop and flat. It was built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century and mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick and has a machine tile roof, with a stack located at the rear. It stands three storeys tall and features a dentilled brick cornice. The front has two windows on the upper floors, which are sashes with tripartite glazing set beneath wedge lintels that have keystones. The second floor has similar windows under timber lintels. The ground floor has a pilastered shop front with scroll brackets supporting the cornice. To the left is a 4-pane shop window, while the shop entrance on the right has an overlight and a glazed door. In the right-hand corner, there is an entrance to the flat, which also features an overlight and a plain 20th-century door. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
