Description

The Chequers Public House is a house that has been converted into a public house. It dates from the late 18th century and was altered in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a hipped old tile roof. It has a rectangular plan with small single-storey extensions at each end and stands two storeys tall. There are tall chimneys at each end, a plinth, and a string course with dentilled eaves.

On the first floor, there are two three-light casements with glazing bars, with a name board positioned between them. The ground floor also has similar three-light casements, which are topped with gauged brick arches, and there is a half-glazed door with glazing bars situated between them.
