Description
This is a cow house and barn located about 25 metres south of Lower Snead Farmhouse, dating from the mid-18th century, with an extension from the late 18th century and some alterations from the late 19th century. The structure is built of brick on a stone plinth and features a tile roof. It is aligned east to west, with the cow house consisting of two roof bays on the west side, while the barn added to the east has five roof bays and a central threshing floor. The cow house includes a band with dog tooth brickwork at the ground floor and a central cow entrance. The barn features a central cart entrance and has walls with hit-and-miss ventilators.
