Description

The farmhouse and attached granary date from the late 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid-19th and mid-20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof, featuring a stack at the left end and rear right of the ridge. It is two storeys high, with an attic containing dormers, and incorporates a cellar. A dentilled eaves cornice runs around the top of the main farmhouse. The three-bay front has 20th-century casement windows in the original openings, each set within a cambered head and ashlar keyblock. The outer bays feature three-light windows on both floors, while the central first floor has a two-light window. The central entrance has glazed double doors, also with a cambered head. An attic light is located in the left gable end. The interior has not been inspected. A rear entrance is accessed via a flat-roofed, glazed 20th-century porch. A further two gabled dormers with two-light casements, along with a two-storey 20th-century addition, are also situated at the rear. A two-storey addition from the 19th century adjoins the right side elevation, featuring a right-end stack and a single bay with a ground floor three-light casement and a first floor two-light casement, both with cambered heads. A small, single-storey, single-bay wing projects to the left, with a two-light casement in the gable end. A 20th-century conservatory sits at the right gable end. The granary adjoins the left side elevation, and possesses a dentilled eaves cornice and an L-plan layout. The section adjoining the farmhouse has two levels and a single bay, with a three-light casement and a door at ground level. The two-bay front return has an attic light in the gable end and a ground floor two-light casement and door in the angle with the farmhouse. External steps at the rear provide access to an upper-level door.
