Description

The Woodward Memorial is a pedestal memorial located about 10 metres north-east of the chancel of the Church of St John the Baptist. It commemorates John Woodward, who died on December 18th, 1826, at the age of 76. The memorial is made of sandstone ashlar and features a moulded plinth, a moulded cornice, and a stepped top with an urn finial. On the west side, there is an inscription panel that is slightly recessed below a fluted frieze, which also records several other members of the family.
