Description

This pair of gate piers and the attached wall, located on the roadside north of Croft Villa, date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and rubble. The gate piers are square in shape with chamfered edges, and each features an astragal below a moulded cap. Low rubble walls flank the piers, rising to full height at the outer ends. This structure is included for its group value.
