Description
No 27 is a late 17th-century house located on the south side of High Street in Broadway. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building is one storey high with an attic. On the left side, there is a timber canted bay window from around 1800, which has leaded glazing set on a stone base. To the right, another canted bay window has timber glazing bars. A flat timber canopy extends over the doorway to the right of the second bay window.
The attic is illuminated by two dormer gables. The left-hand gable showcases an exposed timber truss with two thin curved struts and a timber oriel window. The right-hand gable is made of stone and has a coped top. It features a three-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window with a hood above it. The house has end chimneys, with the left-hand chimney capped in brick.
