Description
Nos 31 and 33 on High Street are two shops dating from around 1800 and the early 19th century. They are constructed of limestone and feature a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high. No 33, located on the left, is made of squared stone and has three bays. The first and second bays have canted bay windows on stone bases, topped by a slated canopy that extends over the third bay, which is blind on the ground floor. The first-floor windows are sashed with glazing bars, and there is a door between the first and second bays. A chimney with a brick cap is situated on the left. No 31, on the right, is built of ashlar and consists of two bays. Its ground floor features an early or mid-19th century shop front with two bows that have glazing bars, also under a slated canopy. The first floor has two sashed windows with glazing bars and a door on the right.
