Description
No 1 Rickfords Hill is a late 17th-century building that has undergone some alterations. It is two storeys high with an attic and cellar. The exterior is made of vitreous brick, featuring red quoins and window surrounds. There is a projecting plinth with a moulded capping and a brick string at the first floor level. The eaves cornice is also moulded. The gable ends have string courses, and the left side displays a diamond pattern created with dark vitreous headers. The roof is covered with old tiles.
On the first floor, there are four 4-light mullioned and transomed casements. The ground floor has two modern bay windows and a six-panel door that is framed by a narrow architrave, topped with a heavy moulded flat hood supported by massive cut wood scroll brackets.
