Description
The Saracen's Head Inn is a late 17th century or early 18th century building located on Rickford's Hill. It features a front made of red brick with cement rendering and has an old tiled roof. The inn is two storeys high, with a plinth and a first floor band. The timber framework is visible on the gable ends of the side elevation. There are 18th and 19th century brick additions at the back. The first floor has three triple light casements, while the ground floor has two triple light metal casements on the right side and a four-panel door to the right of the centre, which is sheltered by a flat hood supported by pierced brackets. Inside, some original timber construction can be seen. The building occupies an important site at a road junction and could benefit from restoration. The Saracen's Head Inn is part of a group with Nos 7 to 23 (odd).
