Description
No. 8 is a late 17th century house located in Bridgend, constructed from coursed limestone rubble and topped with an old clay tile roof featuring stone gable coping. The building is designed in an L-plan and consists of a main block that is two storeys high with attics, following a three-room layout. It has a red brick stack at the north gable end and an off-centre ridge stack that serves the middle room. The house features three gabled dormers, and on the first floor, there are three 3-light casement windows with high-level transoms and timber lintels. The ground floor has three similar windows, with the right-hand pair flanking a doorway that includes a rectangular fanlight and a flat doorhood. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing; the north elevation has two casement windows on the first floor and two 19th-century sash windows on the ground floor.
