Description

Moorfield is a 17th-century house located in Carlton and Chellington. It is constructed from colourwashed coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with tile gable coping. The house has a two-bay plan and is one storey with attics. On the northwest elevation, there are two ground floor 3-light casement windows with bars. A 20th-century gabled porch is situated at the northeast end, and recent windows were added to the front in 1986. The house is topped by a central double red brick ridge chimney stack.
