Description

This is a late 17th or 18th century house located on the west side of High Street, Carlton and Chellington. The house is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with an old clay tile roof and tile gable coping. It has a 3-bay plan, with a smaller, single-bay rear wing connecting to number 24. The house is two storeys high with attics. A stack is situated on the north gable end, and another on the north side of the central bay. The east-facing elevation features three 2-light casement windows on the first floor, with glazing bars. The ground floor also has three casement windows; the northernmost one is a 3-light window from the 20th century, while the others are 2-light windows also with glazing bars, flanking a modern door and doorhood.
