Description

SP 0937 BROADWAY CP HIGH STREET (south side) 8/72 No 15 (Cotswold Restaurant) GV II Restaurant. Early C18 with C20 alterations. Limestone rubble with stone slate roof. Two storeys with attic. On the ground floor are two C20 timber canted bay windows on stone bases. The left-hand one has a plaque dated "1931". Above them is a continuous canopy covered with Welsh slate. On the first floor are three metal casement windows which appear to be C20 renewals. The two small attic dormers have C18 metal casements with leaded glazing. Between the two ground floor windows are two chamfered doorways. End chimneys. Behind the stone base of a disused chimney on the left-hand gable is a later brick cap.
