Description
Nos 6 and 8 on The Green are a house and shop dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar and features a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with three bays. The original windows are rebated and chamfered, complete with mullions. On the ground floor, the left bay contains a three-light window. The first floor windows in the first and second bays are two-light windows. The second bay features a single-storey canted bay window with a stone base, which has sashes with glazing bars. The third bay has a 20th-century bowed shop front with a slated canopy that extends to the left over a doorway with plain reveals. The first floor window in the third bay also has plain reveals. The house doorway is located between the first and second bays, and there is a chimney on the right side of the building.
