Description
The Swan is a former hotel dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared limestone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic. The left-hand bay is taller and projects forward, featuring a first-floor sashed window with glazing bars and plain reveals, and a blocked doorway under a canopy that now contains sashed windows on the ground floor. The hipped attic dormers are present on this bay, which also has gable copings and chimneys. The two right-hand bays have timber cross-windows with plain reveals and leaded glazing on the first floor, along with hipped attic dormers. On the ground floor, there is a wide continuously glazed opening from the 20th century with plain reveals, and a chimney is located on the south gable. The building is included for its group value.
