BROADWAY CP THE GREEN (north side) The Swan (west wing)

(Formerly listed as Swan Hotel (west wing) HIGH STREET)

GV II Former hotel. Mid C18 with C20 alterations. Squared limestone with stone slate roof. Two storeys with attic. The left-hand (northwest) bay is taller and projects forwards. On the first floor is a sashed window with glazing bars and plain reveals. On the ground floor is a blocked doorway under a canopy, now containing sashed windows. Hipped attic dormers. This bay has gable copings and chimneys. The two right-hand bays have timber cross-windows with plain reveals and leaded glazing on the first floor. The attic dormers are hipped. On the ground floor is a wide continuously glazed C20 opening with plain reveals. Chimney on south gable. Included for group value.
