Description

The Bay Horse Inn is an 18th-century inn that consists of two sections, which were altered in the early 19th century and the 20th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and features Welsh and stone slate roofs. The building has two storeys, with the left section comprising three bays and a double-span roof. There is a central doorway with a lintel dated 1797. All the windows are 16-pane sashes, although several have been renewed. The gabled roofs have flat coping and kneelers, and there are stone gable stacks with bands. The rear span has stone slates.

The right section also has three bays and includes a lean-to porch from the mid-20th century in the left bay. The centre window is from the late 20th century, while the other windows are late 19th century small-paned casements. There is a stone gable stack on the left gable, and the right gable stack has been rebuilt in brick. The right section is included mainly for its group value.
