Description
The Garden Room Restaurant is a shop building, now functioning as a restaurant, dating from around 1840. It is constructed of limestone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and features a two-window layout. The shop front, which is from the 19th century, is pilastered and has a central 20th-century panelled door with a transom light above. On the first floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows and two plate glass sash windows, located to the right of a straight joint. At the rear, there is a two-storey extension from the late 19th century. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a group of mid-19th century structures at the top of the High Street, reflecting Tisbury's prosperity during that period.
