Description

No. 12 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and offices. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a Welsh slate roof with a moulded rendered eaves cornice and a shared brick stack at the left end.

The exterior consists of three storeys. On the first floor, there are two canted bay windows with pitched slate roofs, featuring horned sashes in a 1/1:2/1:1/1 configuration and rendered aprons. The second floor has two 3/3 horned sashes flanking a blocked window, all of which have painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sills. The ground floor includes a corniced fascia board; the shopfront has two plate glass bay windows with circular corner mullions and rendered plinths, flanking a 20th-century doorway with an overlight. To the right, a former entrance, now glazed, features fluted pilasters, a panelled reveal, a Y-traceried fanlight, and a stone step.

The interior has not been inspected. Historically, the building was partly used as the courthouse of the Manor of Pershore Old Land.
