Description
Haye Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1834, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features plain tiled roofs along with end brick stacks that are corbelled out at the eaves level and near the apex, showcasing moulded corners and pairs of diagonal brick shafts. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays, including a central gabled projecting porch wing. All doors and windows are adorned with hoodmoulds that have returns. The outer bays feature 3-light wood mullion windows with a transom on both floors. The porch wing includes a first-floor cross-casement window, a rectangular attic light, and a mid-20th century planked and battened door with rectangular lights on each side elevation. Above the first-floor window, there is a metal plaque dated 1834. The interior has not been inspected. At the rear, there are set-back gabled two-storey wings on the left and right, with the left wing having a large gable end external stack that includes four diagonal brick shafts.
