Description

Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the early 18th century and was altered in 1881. It is constructed of brick and features pantiled roofs. The building has two storeys and an early block consisting of three bays. The central bay includes a two-storey porch with a cinquefoil in the curvilinear gable. There are 19th-century three-light mullion and transom windows set beneath cambered arches, along with a 19th-century panelled front door that has a simple doorcase and a rectangular fanlight. The exterior is adorned with a dentiled plat-band and a moulded brick dentiled cornice, as well as moulded brick gable corbels and tumbling-in.

The gable end of a wider contemporary side extension remains, while the rest of the building was rebuilt in 1881, which is indicated by a datestone on the rear. The gabled porch features a two-centred archway and a door flanked by two lancet lights. There are three three-light mullion and transom windows, and a low extension that runs at right angles to the facade. The building also has three gable-end stacks.
