Description
The lodges, gates, and gate piers to Kimberley House are a pair of early 19th-century structures located on Barnham Broom Road in Wymondham. They are built from colourwashed brick and feature slate roofs. Each lodge has a square plan and is a single storey high, with rounded recessed panels on each side that are pierced by sash windows with radial bars at the heads. The lodges have pyramid roofs topped with central stacks. The south lodge has an extension added in 1960, while the north lodge was extended in 1989. The lodges are connected by wrought-iron pedestrian gates to a central pair of square-section piers, which support wrought-iron double-leaf gates beneath an ornamental overthrow. The interior of the lodges is simple, featuring high coved ceilings.
