Description

Carleton Bridge is a road bridge over the River Yare, built in 1815, as indicated by the datestone that features the Wodehouse crest and motto. The bridge is constructed from gault brick with stone dressings. It has three segmental arches that are designed in two orders, with hollow-chamfered stone hood-moulds above them. The parapets are splayed and topped with stone copings.
