Description

Corner Cottage and garage is a 17th-century house with early 19th-century remodelling, situated on the north side of Main Street, Aldington. The building is constructed of painted coursed rubble with ashlar quoins, with extensions in painted brick, and has a tile roof, hipped over the former forge on the left side. Ridge stacks feature diamond shafts. The main façade has a single storey with an attic, the attic being lit by three two-light casement windows set within brick gables. The ground floor contains three two-light casement windows; the spaces between these windows contain Tudor-arched recesses, each containing a 19th-century ledged and boarded door.
