Description

The Hop Kilns, now two houses, were originally built in the 17th century and extended in 1882, with later remodelling in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed lias rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a machine tile roof. It is two storeys high, with a large gabled stair tower projecting to the right of centre. The first floor has four, one, and one windows respectively, all being 20th-century single-light casements. The stair tower window has a chamfered surround. On the ground floor, a garage is located in the left-hand corner. 20th-century half-glazed doors are positioned to the left of the stair tower and in the return wall to the right of the stair tower.
