Description

Harrington House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations from the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with Cotswold stone quoins and features a concrete tile roof, stone coped verges, and gable-end stacks. The building has an L-plan layout, with the limb extending to the west (rear) containing the kitchen, while the main range extends north. The staircase is located at the angle of the L.

The house is two storeys high and includes a stone band and a chamfered plinth. There are three windows, which are 4-pane boxed sashes set under flat lintels. The central entrance features a pilastered wooden doorcase, a margin-glazed overlight, and a six-panel door. Inside, the 18th-century staircase has turned balusters and a moulded handrail, and the exposed beams in the kitchen have deep chamfers.
