Description

Malvern House, located on the west side of High Street in Badsey, is a house dating from the 17th century which was significantly altered in the early 19th century, with further changes made in the mid-20th century. The structure is built of lias stone, with stone coped verges and a machine tile roof, and features chimney stacks at the rear. It is two storeys high and has three windows, with two tripartite sash windows on either side of a glazing bar sash window. A central wooden doorcase, featuring pilasters and an open pediment with a fanlight, frames the four-panel door, the upper two panels being glazed. A blocked doorway is visible in the right-hand corner. A mullioned window, consisting of a 4-light section above a 5-light section, is set into the left-hand gable, the mullions exhibiting ovolo mouldings.
