Description
Barn Cottages are two houses dating from the 17th century, which were restored in the late 20th century. They feature a timber-frame construction with rendered infill on a stone plinth, and the west gable end is made of coursed stone rubble. The roof is covered with machine tiles. The buildings consist of four framed bays that run east to west, with a stack located on the north (rear) wall and a stone gable end on the west side. They are one storey high with an attic that is illuminated by three gabled dormers, one of which is framed. The ground floor has six 2-light 20th-century casement windows, and there are two entrances to the left of the center, each with a 20th-century panelled door. The left-hand gable features stone mullioned windows. The framing includes three square panels in height, and the right-hand gable has two struts supporting the collar.
