Description
The Old Stores is a house that likely dates from the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed dressed limestone rubble and features a plain tiled roof, complemented by ashlar gable-end parapets and brick ridge end stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays. The windows are all late 19th century sashes with decorative glazing bars, except for the left ground floor window, which has been replaced by a flat-roofed canted bay window that includes a central large 6-paned window. The central entrance is highlighted by a timber trellised porch, which is topped with a hipped swept lead canopy that has a finial, leading to a 5-panelled door.
