Description

Haytons Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations and additions made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of roughly-coursed limestone rubble, featuring brick dressings and stacks, and has a pantile roof. It has a central entrance plan with two rooms and is a single-storey structure with an attic, featuring two windows. The entrance consists of a boarded door flanked by 20th-century casements in the original openings, which have segmental header arches above them. The eaves are stepped in brick, and the gables are raised and tumbled brick. There are 19th- to 20th-century stacks at the ends of the building. A small single-light attic casement is located on the right return, also beneath a segmental arch.
