Description
Hill House is a house that likely dates from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings and features an old plain-tile roof with brick stacks at either end. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range that is positioned at right angles to the street.
The central entrance consists of a four-panel part-glazed door with an overlight, which is sheltered by an open wood porch that has a flat roof. On both the left and right sides of the house, there are 19th-century angled bays topped with slate hipped roofs. A brick band runs between the ground and first floors, and the first floor has three 2-light casement windows. The eaves are adorned with a dentil cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
