Description
Doe Bank Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was restored in the mid-20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with rendered infill, brick replacement walling, and a plain tiled roof, along with external brick stacks at the gable ends. The cottage consists of two framed bays and is a single storey with an attic that includes dormers. The rear wall-frame has three panels from the sill to the wall-plate, with straight braces in the lower corners. The west gable end has a tie-beam truss with two collars and queen struts. On the front elevation, all windows are from the 20th century; the ground floor has two 2-light casements, and there are two flat-roofed dormers with 2-light casements. A central lean-to porch, which is glazed and sits on a brick base, features a glazed door. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there is a flat-roofed single-storey extension that adjoins the west gable end.
