Description
This building is an outbuilding located immediately north-east of the Old Parsonage, likely used as a malt house and now serving as a store. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. Constructed of brick, it features a plain tiled roof and a brick chimney at the front right end. The building is two storeys high and has four bays.
On the front elevation, the ground floor includes four three-light windows, one of which has wooden shutters, and two have cambered heads. There is also a rectangular light and a ledged and battened door with a cambered head. The first floor features a two-light casement and two three-light casements. Attic lights are present in the gable ends, and there are external steps at the right gable end.
Inside, the roof has a double row of trenched purlins, and there is a fireplace in the right end bay. This building is included for its group value with the Old Parsonage.
