Description

The Bumble Hole is a house that was originally three cottages, dating from the 17th century and mid-19th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. It features a timber frame set on a sandstone plinth, with rendered infill panels and a painted brick, machine tile roof. The building consists of three framed bays oriented east to west, with a mid-19th century brick addition at the eastern end. There are chimney stacks at both the east and west ends of the timber-framed section. The house has one storey and an attic, which is illuminated by three gabled dormers. Below, there are five windows, which are 2-light casements from the 20th century. There are doors at both ends; the right door is a 17th-century plank door, while the left door is from the 20th century. The framing includes three square panels high with straight tension braces.
