Description
Nos 79 and 81 on High Street are two houses, likely built in the mid-18th century. They are constructed from squared limestone and topped with a stone slate roof. The windows are casements with plain reveals. The main part of the building is two storeys high, featuring three windows on the ground floor and two on the first floor, with a doorway located to the right of the left-hand window. To the right is a gabled cross-wing that is also two storeys tall, with an attic and one bay, and its gable wall is flush with the main facade. There are chimneys on both the right and left sides, with the left chimney having a brick cap, located on the gable of the wing and towards the rear of the wing. The gable of the wing is coped. The right-hand wall of the wing has two bays, and there is a doorway on the left that has a tiled canopy extending over the adjacent canopy to its right.
