Description

This post box, dating from the 1870s, features a timber frame with plastered infill set on a sandstone ashlar plinth and is topped with a tile roof. It has a gabled front with a jettied tie-beam above a painted cast iron pillar box inscribed "VR". The gable is adorned with moulded bargeboards, and the truss includes V-struts to the king-post, with a shield attached to the center of the tie-beam.
