Description
This post box, located south-west of the lodge at Cookridge Hospital, dates from around 1868 and is possibly designed by Norman Shaw. It is made of ashlar and cast-iron, featuring a chamfered plinth and a gabled top with a roll-moulded ridge. The front displays the initials 'VR' and a crown above the horizontal posting aperture, with a door located below.
