Description

Clapper Bridge is a mid-17th century structure, likely reconstructed around 1845. It is made of gritstone and features two rough stone piers that support a flat slab bridge. The cut-waters on the north side are curved to help deflect the flow of water. The bridge deck consists of eight very large stone slabs.
