Description

The pillar box located at the junction of Cavendish Avenue and Wellington Place is a cast iron structure from the 1860s. It has a hexagonal shape set on a plinth and features astragal and cyma moulding. The front displays the monogram "VR," a royal crest, and the words "POST OFFICE." The design includes a cornice with beading and a foliate ogee cap topped with a bud finial.
