Description

This barn, dating to the late 17th to early 18th century, stands approximately 20 metres south-east of Wrens Nest Farmhouse. It is a timber-frame structure built upon a sandstone plinth, with weatherboarding and a tile roof. The barn comprises three bays, aligned north/south, and features a central threshing floor. The timber framing consists of single rectangular panels set high, with straight tension braces. Intermediate trusses have two raking struts, and multiple struts are present at the gable ends. Wrens Nest Farmhouse is not included as part of this listed building.
