Description

This is an early 19th-century building of painted brick and engraved stucco, comprising two storeys and originally featuring five sash windows. The windows have single glazing bars, with those belonging to number 6 set within plain surrounds. The building has plain eaves and a roof of tiles and slates. Modern doorways and shop fronts now occupy the front. The building is included in the list because of its contribution to the group value of the streetscape. It forms a group with numbers 1 to 7 (consecutive) and the Old Grammar School, as well as numbers 16 and 17 Vine Street.
