Description

14 Merstow Green is a 16th-century building that has been restored and features some modern alterations. It has a timber frame with closely set vertical members and painted cement infilling. The building is two storeys high and has a slightly projecting gabled bay on the left side, which contains two windows and features two overhangs as well as a coved overhang to the gable. There are four renewed sash windows overall, and a central doorway with a restored wooden segmental head. The building also has restored brick stacks and is covered with tiles. The west side has a stone gabled end. At the rear, there is a timber-framed wing that was formerly Nos 1 to 3 and No 6 Trumpet Yard. Nos 14 to 23 form a group.
