Description

The Old Red Horse Inn, located at No 17 Vine Street, is a 16th-century building featuring a timber frame with closely set vertical members and roughcast infilling. It stands two storeys high, with the left-hand portion built on a stone base and an overhanging first floor. The building has three 19th-century easement windows and is roofed with tiles. The gabled return side includes one window and an overhang at the first floor. The Old Red Horse Inn is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 7 (consecutive) and the Old Grammar School on Merstow Green.
