Description

12 and 12A Vine Street are an 18th-century building, originally known as Tower House. The exterior is rendered in engraved stucco, featuring long and short chamfered quoins at the sides. The building is two storeys high and has four sash windows, each with keyblocks and channelled lintels, and a stone plinth. A parapet tops the facade. A fluted wooden doorcase frames the main doorway, which is complemented by a plain semi-circular fanlight and an open pediment. To the right is a semi-circular headed doorway with a moulded stone keyblock, a 'Y' traceried fanlight, and a modern door. Numbers 7 to 13 Vine Street form a notable group.
