Description

This is a pair of gate piers dating from around 1814, with later restorations, located at the Worcester Golf and Country Club. They are constructed from ashlar stone over brick and have a square shape. The piers feature plinths, panelled shafts, a frieze, a cornice, and shaped caps. They are an important feature of the streetscape and were formerly the entrance to Boughton Park.
