Description
This is a 17th-century barn located about 6 yards east of The Priory on Alcester Road in Feckenham. The barn is timber-framed with painted brick infill, some replacement walling, and a plinth, topped with a plain and machine-tiled roof. It features three framed bays that run east to west, with a central wagon bay that has opposed cart entries equipped with double doors. The framing includes three panels from the sill to the wall-plate, long straight braces in some lower corners, and collar and tie-beam trusses with struts, although the east end truss has been replaced with brick.
On the south elevation, there are two rectangular windows, and the east gable end has a half-glazed door. The west gable end features a ledged and battened door with a leaded transom light. Both gable ends have attic lights. Inside, there are two intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts and two tiers of trenched purlins.
