Description
Pool House is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century, late 19th century, and mid-20th century. It features painted brick construction and a shallow-pitched hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and brick stacks at the rear. The building has three storeys and is composed of three bays, with the left bay being wider and slightly recessed. The windows have gauged flat heads and ashlar sills. The outer bays contain 16-pane sash windows on the ground and first floors, while the second floor has 8-pane sashes. The central bay includes a 12-pane sash on the first floor and a 6-pane sash on the second floor. The central entrance is highlighted by a flat-roofed timber porch with trellis infill, a six-panelled door, and a transom light. There are extensive later additions at the rear.
