Description

Walker’s House is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof with parapets at the gable ends and brick end stacks. It has a single storey and a basement, with a dentilled eaves cornice and three bays.

On the west front elevation, there are three ground floor cross-casements and two blind openings in the basement, all of which have cambered heads. The main entrance is located in the south gable end and is enclosed within a 19th-century addition. The interior was not inspected. At the time of the survey in March 1985, the building was undergoing re-roofing. There are also 19th-century lean-to additions at the rear and a two-storey, two-bay addition at the south gable end, featuring 2-light casement windows, a central entrance, and a round-headed archway to the left that provides access to both the original and the 19th-century parts of the building.
