Description
Walker’s Higher Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with a date stone inscribed "TGA/1755". It is constructed of brick and features a stone slate roof. The building has three storeys and three bays, with a stone base and quoins. The windows are fitted with wedge lintels that have keys and small-paned casements. The entrance includes an architrave and a wedge lintel, along with an overlight and a six-fielded-panel door. Above the central first-floor window is a date stone in the shape of a round Rococo cartouche. The farmhouse has brick gable-end stacks. Inside, there is a staircase with a close string and turned balusters and newels, as well as six-fielded-panel doors.
