Description
Higher Highfield is a farmhouse dating from 1714, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed of brick on a stone base, with part of the exterior plastered, and features a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the first bay projecting under a gable. There is a band above the ground floor, and the first bay also has a band above the first floor. The windows have plain lintels and casements, while the third bay has no windows. The entrance is located in the second bay, and the datestone is found in the third bay. The right side of the building has a blocked entrance, and there are two cross-axial stacks.
